Classification of Rain Test Chambers – Detailed Overview

Release time:2025-08-20
In the environmental–testing industry, the choice of a rain test chamber is always driven by the customer’s specific requirements and operating conditions. Drawing on our own experience and on the functional demands of the equipment, we have developed the following commonly used models:
  1. Standard Rain Test Chambers
    Model  Internal working size (D × W × H)  External dimensions (D × W × H)
    • LRHS-855-PL 950 × 1000 × 950 mm    1270 × 1460 × 1790 mm
    • LRHS-2551-PL 1350 × 1400 × 1350 mm  1520 × 1830 × 2100 mm
These cabinet-type chambers are ideal for testing exterior lighting, signalling devices and automotive lamp housings. They realistically reproduce the rain and spray conditions that electronic products and their components may encounter during transport and service. The aim is to verify the waterproof performance of any product subjected to the test.

  2. MIL-STD Rain Test Room
    Model  Internal working size (D × W × H)  External dimensions (approx. D × W × H)
    • LRHS-1320-PL 1600 × 2500 × 3300 mm   ≈ 2500 × 5100 × 3563 mm
Designed for defence or electronic equipment, this chamber simulates dynamic operation under high-intensity rainfall. Within a single unit it supports both wind-driven rain tests and drip tests as prescribed by military standards. The objective is to determine whether the equipment’s housing and seals can prevent water ingress and to evaluate operational reliability during and after exposure to rain.
  3. Full-Vehicle Walk-In Rain Test Chamber
    Internal working size (D × W × H)  External dimensions (approx. D × W × H)
    • 26000 × 3400 × 4000 mm      ≈ 1300 × 1800 × 2500 mm
Intended for cars, rail vehicles and related equipment, this large chamber assesses the water-tightness of complete vehicles. It verifies the product’s ability to prevent water penetration and to maintain proper function during and after rain exposure.
We offer a wide product range; the photos and parameters shown are indicative only. All specifications can be tailored to the customer’s exact needs, and full non-standard customization is supported.
